Public programs are offered year around at various park locations. Check
out the Monthly Calendar and Seasonal Guide to view all the public programs being offered
by HPD staff and volunteers. Watch The Courier for monthly ads around the end of each month for a complete listing.

Request A Program
In addition to public programs, requested program presentations and workshops can be provided for your group. Call the HPD office to request and schedule a program several weeks in advance. Programs can take place at a variety of park locations depending on the subject matter.
Fees:

Public programs are FREE to anyone, unless special supplies/equipment is required. Fees are noted in the description of the program.

Requested programs are FREE, unless the requesting group is out of county. A charge of $2 per person or $50 minimum is required.
School Programs: Educators, of any level, scout or organizational leaders can request environmental education and history programs for their students or members. Programs can be conducted in your classroom, school or a variety of park locations. Check out our new 2011-2012 EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS BROCHURE for a complete list of programs that help achieve Ohio Academic Content Standards. The Guide supplies information on appropriate age levels,
locations, and other valuable information to help our education staff provide the best quality programs for your students.
As a courtesy, please contact the HPD office if you are bringing a large group of students to the parks. We would be happy to reserve a shelter for you. There is no charge if you are a Hancock County School.
