Hancock Parks Foundation

Hancock Parks FoundationParks are built on a good Foundation. The Hancock Parks Foundation was created in 1989 by community leaders who believed the parks system, as an important public trust, should have financial help beyond just voted tax levies. As an Ohio not-for-profit corporation, the Parks Foundation is governed by the IRS as a 501 (c)(3) tax exempt charitable organization. Private gifts support the Parks Foundation, managed in cooperation by local banks. Giving opportunities include:

  • Memorials for trees, buildings, benches, equipment and others
  • Designated contributions for park projects and programs
  • Restricted or unrestricted bequests from charitable remainder trusts (land, stock, funds), wills and estate planning can benefit the donor and the community in many way

To speak with a Foundation representative call the HPD office at 419-425-7275. A Gift Catalog can be provided.

2012 Hancock Parks Foundation Trustees include: President Dr. James Miller, Vice President Lynda Gallant, Secretary/Treasurer Ron Rush, Tina Grunner, Karen Alcott and HPD Board of Park Commissioner Scott Younger. To be announced - one additional trustee.
