Members of the Hancock County Handlebars Bicycle Club bike across Brugeman Bridge on the Blanchard River GreenwayWhether you enjoy trails by foot, horse, skis or a bicycle, throughout the Hancock Parks and county wide a variety of trails are available to enjoy the out of doors each season of the year. All bicyclists are reminded that ALL nature trails, located throughout the Hancock Parks, are NOT suitable for bicycling. Check out the variety of bicycling trails that are available below.

 

Tours : Town and country side are linked with over 100 miles of scenic, flat roadways that make Hancock County like a “giant bikeway” in Northwest Ohio . Including the following tours:Bicyclists participate in the annual Hancock Hortizontal One Hundred bicycling event in Hancock County

  • Blanchard River Greenway Bike Trail:
    Bicycling system throughout Hancock County covers city and countyRide a rail trail over the old Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. The paved surface is 10 feet wide and travels 1.5 miles from Broad Avenue to Main Street .
  • Van Buren State Park Bike Trail:
    Three mile singletrack loop marked with blue arrows. Trail is dedicated to hiking and biking. The trail criss-crosses several ravines offering a rider a fair amount of short climbs and descents. It winds through tall pines, climbs a log pile here or there and offers a scenic view of the lake. It drains fairly well and can be ridden year around. VAN BUREN STATE PARK WEBSITE

BLANCHARD RIVER GREENWAY BIKE TRAIL MAP 

NEW BICYCLING GUIDE now available!  The guide covers all bike routes through the City of Findlay and Hancock County, highlighting points of interest along the routes.  FREE guides can be picked up at The Cube, Greater Findlay Inc., Findlay-Hancock County Library Book Cellar, area bicycle shops and HPD Headquarters office and Visitor Center located outside with 24/7 access.  

Hancock Handlebars Bike Club: For over two decades this group of bicyclists has made cycling in Hancock County a recreational adventure for kids of all ages. New members welcome. HANCOCKHANDLEBARS.ORG
